Since Run Geelong I've been building my base in preparation for the start of my official training program, this last week I have run 50km, with my longest run being 18km. So right now I'm feeling pretty ready to start my training plan.
Speaking of my training plan, I've been chopping and changing it, but think I've got it nailed. It's hard not to read so much into what you read on the internet, with people doing upwards of 100km per week to train for marathons! My plan tops out at 68km, so I am hoping this is enough. Given I've modified my program based on a Hal Higdon plan for beginners, I think I should be okay.
It really is just a matter of wait and see!
